Coverage
Coverage is a read-only view of which AWS services CloudCerta discovers and runs checks against for your tenant, and how many resources it has found per service. It exists so you can see the boundary of what a scan can tell you before you read anything into a clean result.
What’s on the page
- Two summary tiles: services assessed out of the full catalog, and total resources discovered.
- A permanent disclaimer banner that stays visible on every load.
- Services grouped into fixed categories — Compute, Database, Network, Storage, Security, Management — each row showing the service name, a status pill, a discovered-resource count where relevant, and a “View findings” link for services that are actively checked.
What you can do
Coverage is read-only for every role — there’s nothing to configure here. Any member of your organisation can view it. The only actions are the outbound links to Findings.
How to read it
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Assessed | CloudCerta has checks registered for this service type. This does not mean your resources have already been found and evaluated — a service can show Assessed with zero resources discovered, even before your first scan has run. It means the checks exist and will run against anything of that type your scans find. |
| Discovered — checks coming soon | CloudCerta has seen resources of this type in your account, but doesn’t yet run security checks against them. |
| Coming soon | Declared in the catalog, but nothing has been seen and there’s no check for it yet. |
Discovery relies on AWS resource tags — an untagged or untaggable resource may not appear in the counts here at all. Discovered is not the same as assessed: only assessed services are actually checked. This is shown as a standing banner on the page itself, not just here.
The “services assessed” denominator is the full declared catalog for Cloud Posture, not just the services your account happens to use — so it won’t reach 100% just because you have a small footprint.
Before your first scan
If Cloud Posture isn’t enabled for your tenant yet, the page says so and stops there. Otherwise, the full service list renders immediately even with zero scans — most rows show “Coming soon,” and any service with checks already registered shows “Assessed” with a count of zero discovered, exactly as described above.
